Chapter 2- The Gaunt Shack

 "saa-hee-iaa-pheas"

"haa-seey-yaa-phesh"

"naa-hey-saa-saash"

Little Marvolo Gaunt was enjoying his eleventh birthday with the snake friends he had had since his birth. Snakes didn't harm him, infact they loved talking to him. Many people had been in a shock after witnessing this strange kind of boy growing their little village of Hangleton. The Gaunt Shack, that is where he had been living since the day he was born, but this shack wasn't the shattered one in the forest, instead it had made it's place amoung the locals. Merina Gaunt, Marvolo's mother was a very generous and a kind hearted spirit always willing to help and contribute to the village. Marvolo was one of the dearest and talented kids amoung the village, whom everyone was fond of. The evidence of this unique talent he possessed was once tested when a girl from village was bitten by a snake moving around the village. Surprisingly, the doctors have failed to remove the poison from her infected leg, when Marvolo stepped forth and sucked out all the venom left in her body giving a new life. The entire village was surprised and speechless at this ability at a very young age, and it's a known fact, that no one had been bitten by a snake ever again in the village.

Although very few must know the history of Gaunt family, from where came the most sinister and darkest wizard of all time. He-who-must-not-be-named, else, considering the peaceful world we lived in without him today, we'd better call him, Lord Voldemort. The Gaunt family tree went past many generations, starting with Marvolo Gaunt Senior, who had two children, Morfin and Merope Gaunt. Every woman born in the Gaunt house had been a squib, just as Merope was. It was Merope who gave birth to Lord Voldemort, or better call him, Tom Marvolo Riddle, as named after his father and grandfather. Merope married Tom Riddle Senior who was a muggle and resided in the same village. The shock of this event led to Marvolo Gaunt's death after which the head of the family was Morfin Gaunt. Morfin had once had a forceful relation with one of the girls in the village who was supposed be a witch herself and therefore he have had a son named Merilius Gaunt. Merilius was a mirror image of Morfin, although Voldemort had never realized of this part of the family when he had come to confront them.

Merilius, killed his own mother and married a squib named Alicia, after which he had two children a son and a daughter. The son was named Merkin Gaunt and the daughter was killed before she had even been given a name. Merkin grew up to kill his own father was he was just eighteen and hence took the throne as the head of the family. Merkin fell in love with a squib called Merina when they had a child together. But on the very day Merkin was about to name his son, he was arrested by the aurors for the crime of killing Merilius. Before he would depart his wife and son, he asked her to name his son after his grandfather, Marvolo Gaunt, and to never let him fall into the generational curse of malice. And so did Merina, for the last eleven years. But in the third year of his sentence at Azkaban, Merkin passed away after an elongated dementor's kiss. The shockwave spread all over the Gaunt house which was supported by the entire village and the mother and her child were welcomed to reside in the village itself. And since then little Marvolo Gaunt had been one of the most loved child in the village.

Every birthday that he would celebrate was with his best friend corvus, the prince of snakes. Corvus usually brought his friends over to the celebration and Marvolo would tell them about his pranks on his helpless mother.

"I hope they let me in Hogwarts when you leave this year" said Corvus in a hissing sound in which he was talking earlier, but Marvolo could understand every thing he said, infact he could talk to him back.

"But first we must convince mum, I don't think I am allowed at Hogwarts after what my forefathers did to the wizarding society," said little Marvolo with an essence of guilt, of the crimes that he had never committed.

"Of Course they will. Hogwarts is magnificent! last year I heard one of the wizards in the forest shack describing it to his mother, Hogwarts is the best place on earth to have ever existed! they have the great hall, the quidditch pitch, the house cup competition, free food,"

"Free Food!" exclaimed Marvolo, "Yah! free food!" said a familiar voice from behind, followed by a burst of laughter out of a few girls who were standing along with a handsome, well dressed and neat attired boy called Tom Riddle IV. "Never had a chance to eat good food, didn't you Grumpy Gaunt! I have heard, that you and your old mother, eat leftovers at the Sundae Club" said Tom in a very disappointed but amused voice. This enraged Marvolo further, for he knew how his mother had been serving for ages at the Sundae Club as a waitress and had gotten some moments of luck to get herself and her son some leftovers at times. This made Marvolo jump out of his place from the ground when he shot himself over Tom and punched him in the nose. "You filthy cheap-shot! how dare you touch me with your unhealthy hand! now my nose might catch some of that bacteria!" said Tom covering his nose with his hand, the girls beside him giggled.

"saaa-heeee-yaaa-usheee", corvus rose his neck and started slithering in a terrifying fashion towards Tom. Seeing the slithering snake coming towards him, Tom fell off the ground while the girls around him gave a loud yell and disappeared. "saaa-heee-yaaaa-usheee!" repeated Marvolo advancing towards Tom. Tom's eyes were protruding out in fear and his entire body was shaking. Although this wasn't the first time he had been attacked by Marvolo, but this time was something special. He had awaken the snake inside Marvolo on his eleventh birthday. "saaa-heee-yaaaa-husheee, Any last wishes Voldemort!" whispered Marvolo bending towards Tom who gave gasp of horror when they heard a running of footsteps from a distance.

"Marv! leave the boy alone! come here you filthy jerk!" shouted Merina from a distance giving Marvolo a deadly stare. Merina had gotten complains from the Riddle house quite often on how the two boys could have never made up with each other. Merina was convinced that it was Marvolo overpowering Tom in their childish battles, although what she didn't knew was Tom was nothing less of trouble. Tom being a muggle, was still aware of the existence of wizarding world for he had a rich history with Lord Voldemort himself. When Voldemort killed his father and grandparents, little he had any idea that Tom Riddle senior had been married to Ceselia Riddle and had a son named after his father Tom Riddle II. The family passed down the name to the next two generation and hence came Tom Riddle IV. Tom had been having a row with Marvolo ever since they had met at the age of five in their muggle school. Riddle as evident was a foul mouthed creature since the beginning of time, and Marvolo and soul suffering for the crimes he had never committed but always under the suspicion that he would, one day.

"How many times? How many times would I have to tell you to stay away from that Riddle boy?" asked Merina in a very calm and motherly voice while walking along a narrow path in the forest. "You know his parents, his family. They are all important here, their influence might cost us a huge deal, and I don't like them scolding you as they did last time," said Merina, "Then why didn't you stop them?" asked Marvolo with a frown. "As if I had something to defend on, you attacked their son with a snake. And so you were about to do today" said Merina. "Corvus is a good snake, he never attacks anyone, infact I was telling him not to attack Riddle, he was doing it voluntarily, because he is fond of me," Marvolo replied with an expression of joy on his face. "Don't lie, I heard you saying 'Any last wishes' and then you said that name, never Marv, never ever repeat that name again in this house! it's a curse on us that he had left, and you have been lucky enough to have escaped that curse somehow. Do not ruin it for yourself or for your mum." said Merina in a rather pleading and motherly tone. Marvolo nodded obidiently and then carried on. "Mom, do you think I might get the letter to hogwarts this year?", "No one from our family had been to hogwarts dear as far as I know", "But our ancestor, Salazar Slytherin was one of the founders of that school, why won't they let me in there?" Merina went silent over this and no answer to this question while they entered the shack.

Deep down, it was Merina's desire to give her son the education he deserves, but she could only but weep at the fate they had been left with. "I will write to them tomorrow, I promise" said Merina kissing the forehead of her son before putting him to bed. Marvolo slept in the hopes of getting something the next day. The morning was announced with a bright blue sky with a flash of sunshine falling over Marvolo's face, when he got up and hurried towards the dinning room to enquire his mother for any updates on their application to Hogwarts. His mother had been composing a letter to the headmaster, when they heard an own approaching their kitchen window from above the sky. Owls, in daylight? this could be nothing less than magic.

Marvolo, jumped out of chair rushing towards the window pane and opened it as quickly as possible such that he got his fingers hurt, but he could not feel the pain for some reason. The magnificent and beautiful owl came inside, when Marvolo started dancing around it. Merina was flushed with joy on her face when she first decided to help Marvolo calm down giving him a tight hug and then proceeded to untie the mail they had gotten from the owl. "It is from Hogwarts!" exclaimed Merina. Marvolo let a jolt of happiness take over his entire body when he jumped as high as possible. Merina opened the letter to view the contents inside.

"We deeply regret to inform you that your son isn't fit for our school. Hence, he must not be joining us this year....."

CHAPTER SIX: THE FLAMES

MAYOR'S OFFICE  Gryffin Scout smoked heavily looking out of the window at the moon. "What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...

CHAPTER THREE: THE NEW ORDER

A STREET IN NEW YORK The moon had grown blue and was preparing to be covered in the blanket of clouds which might soon make it difficult for the guards of the city to keep an eye on the enemy. The shivering breeze was filling up the space, stray dogs and cats were all sleeping in their corners. The homeless still suffered from the helplessness of sleeping under parked carriages, because flakes of snow covered the ground. The snow looked pretty in the evening while the pretty market was usually, selling lights, and cakes in the month of December when all were awaiting Christmas.  A stream of blood was being marked on the middle of the road which was flowing and changing the white snow, dark red. I child's bloodstained head was being dragged on the road with his body being held in hands of a masked man. During the investigation of Kingwill, a five-year-old's body was still missing and this was it. The killer without feeling even a tiny bit of mercy and pain dragged the dead ch...
