THE DON: CHAPTER 7

Jake Andersen checked in the hotel and enquired about Harry Hagen's room, and learned that he went straight up to his room to be welcomed by his chief bodyguard Oliver. Harry had been waiting since morning on his chair with an opened window giving a beautiful view of Philadelphia. Jake Entered the room when Harry's sight went sharp on him. "Don Harry! a pleasure seeing you!" said Jake, "Pleasure is mine," Harry said in a low voice shaking hands with Jake and giving him a seat in front of him. Oliver too sat on a chair next to them. "So, how was your journey? Did you like this city?" asked Jake, "I was good, how are things going? how is the Don?" asked Harry, "Dad is not doing so good, he is on his bed, so I showed up, we could switch to our place if you like to!" said Jake, "No! I am fine with this hotel, the view is beautiful," said Harry, "Great! so let's talk about the business shall we?" Jake asked, "I suggest we talk about it later," said Harry. Jake with a confused face and smile went ahead to ask Harry, "Fine if you are tired, we could talk business at the dinner, so what do we do now?" asked Jake, "Let's be friends!" Harry said with a charm on his face, "What I believe is that, before we could enter any business, friendship is important, it is important so that we could know with whom we are dealing with and I can help you, when you need it, beyond business," said Harry, "Well that is very kind of you, so go ahead, ask me anything," said Jake.

"What is your family history? How did Don Travis enter the business?" asked Harry, "Well, I don't know much of the history, but I know what my mother would tell me, she used to say that I was two years old when father stepped up to be the don, and after eight years since then my mother died, and since then my father brought me up to be this man," said Jake, "Well, you must always know where your root lies, you must know your history," said Harry, "Well, can I go forth and ask you something?" asked Jaked, "Sure, why not?" Harry insisted, "How were your relations with Don Hobbie Brown, and do you know who killed him?" asked Jake. Oliver looked a bit tense when this question popped up. "Well, he was a good friend of mine, we met in the jail ten years ago, and he taught me many things, but if would knew who killed him, that man would have been dead already," said Harry. "I was just asking to confirm the rumors, we trade with the Flordia crime family, Don Vito is the head, so that's why this question came up," said Jake, "How are your relations with your wife, you married at an early age, fuck I am still a bachelor!" said Harry cracking up. "Well, you are lucky sir, I didn't want to get married at all! father forced it on me, but now there is no going back, I have a son," said Jake in a disappointed voice.

The two develop a good friendship after talking for many hours. Later at the dinner, the two talked business and made a deal when finally Jake with a content heart shot off to his house and Harry went back to his room to have sleep. "So what's next?" asked Oliver, "Let's grow this deal and friendship further, I'll do things in his favor, and when the right time comes, slay his father, and destroy his business, and leave him for no good, I fucking feel bad for his wife and his son," said Harry. Oliver and Harry slept that night, Oliver would follow Harry like a shadow to protect his friend from the day he became the don. Jake went back to his house content enough to tell his father about the deal. He rushed to his father's room as soon as he came back.

"Father! the deal is final, I told you would be proud of me, this don made me speechless!" said Jake to his old man who woke up from his half-sleep, "Well, I am happy you made it son, I can now die in peace leaving all my business on you," said the old man with a sigh of relief, "Don't say that! you can't die, remember, you are the boss! the strongest player in the game," said Jake. "How is family?" asked Travis, Jake paused a bit and then replied, "Becca and I had an argument last night, I locked her and her son up in our room, and she would stay grounded for a week now," said Jake, "Don't do that son, keep your family together, even if you don't like them, you still owe them a little, go unlock that dear girl, and 'your' son," said Travis. "I will after I leave, well, won't you hear about this don?" said Jake, "I would love to, who is this gentleman?" asked Travis with a smile, "Don Harry Hagen on Brooklyn! we can trust our lives on him, sir!" said Jake, "What did you say his name was again?" Travis asked with an alarmed face, "Don Harry Hagen," said Jake and these simple words fell on Travis Andersen like jolts of shock, and his face turned pale. "Jesus Christ! don't tell me you made a deal with him you idiot!" Travis shouted, "What are you saying? What is it?" Jake asked with a tense red face, "I was the one who killed Harry's father to take place as the don! and now he is back to take revenge, vengeance is on our door!" Travis shouted. "Oh! My God! what should I do now?" Jake asked in chaos, "Kill him! it's now or never!" the old devil ordered.

Jake collected his goons and weapons to go on this hunt and kill the dark cloud hovering over his fate. The team headed towards the hotel wherein Harry and Oliver slept peacefully. Overpowering the staff of the hotel, Jake went straight up to Harry's room with four goons. "He must be sleeping with his hitman, let's wait to get a sight of him and then just kill him away, don't wait for anything, just shoot bullets at him," said Jake. Hearing the commotion outside Oliver woke up, to see some shadows of people outside the window. "Hey! Harry!" said Oliver trying to whisper and wake up Harry when he gave him a light slap on his shoulder to wake him up and said, "when I say down, just jump and hide under your bed, alright!" Oliver said slowly with an alarmed face, "What happened?" Harry asked when Oliver signaled outside the window, and Harry saw demons outside. Oliver slowly stood up and started to walk near the window. Harry slid to the edge of the bed, on his mind only one name would glitter right now, Jake Andersen. Oliver went to the window when the goons saw a shadow arriving at the window when they signaled Jake who commanded them to shoot. "Down!" Oliver shouted when Harry slipped under the bed. The goons rained bullets on Oliver breaking the glass and before he could take out his gun he was on his knees. A goon stepped up and shot on his head making him go to sleep. Harry saw this all and didn't utter a word, his eyes were popping out and his face was about to burst in anger but he kept himself still.

The goons finished their firing and fled away signaling to Jake that Harry died. Jake flew away from the hotel from an emergency exit before they could call the police. Harry popped out as soon as the goons were gone and rushed to the corpse of his poor friend. "Oli!" saying the words Harry busted out crying. "Oli!" was the only word coming out of his mouth when he hugged his friend's corpse to his heart. Harry with his red watery eyes vowed that night to destroy the entire Andersen family and not leave a single soul of them alive.

The Key to Deception

Jordan Kingsley was a man with some bad habits but a good sense of business. His fortune had afforded him many advantages, including various artifacts and awards that adorned his large hall. However, the most prized possession he had acquired in his lifetime was a set of ten rare beads, each worth a million dollars. This fact wasn't a secret among his acquaintances, who included his elder brother, Benjamin Kingsley, his wife, Harriet Kingsley, and their son, Clinton Kingsley. Unfortunately, Clinton was autistic, though remarkably creative, and Jordan felt a special bond with him, sponsoring his education out of genuine love rather than pity. Jordan was selective about those he let into his heart, reserving his true affection for those who earned it. This often excluded his own brother, his brother's wife, and even his business partners. Harriet, aware of Jordan's distant relationship with her son, made efforts to keep Clinton away from Jordan, fearing that the uncle's ...

"What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...
