UNDERNEATH THE ROOF

 ACT 1

Joker: Can I go out? I am very fond of rain! I want to dance, I want to get mad! mad like you all Gordon! please let me out! Ha Ha Ha! I am really bored in this one empty boring room. There is a chair in front of me, but there is no entertainment, why is that so Gordon? is your hero late? is he ever gonna come? and this handcuffs are making me so happy! look at my smile, I am smiling all day Gordon! don't you all smile? but there is one good thing my makeup remains on my face, I am not sweating today.

Joker: No replies from the outside, soon the lights will go off, and I would see you in front of me hero. Ah! here we go, lights go out, and in a second, I welcome you Batman! welcome to the room.

Batman: Well, here I am.

Joker: Finally, so nice to meet you, don't you think this room is too boring to be here, let's go out!

Batman: Your attempts of escaping me will go waste, save it for later when I choke your laughter with my hands.

Joker: Haa Haa Haa! I will escape? I don't want to escape! Ha Ha Ha! you are my entertainment, why will I ever leave you? you are my better half, you complete me Batman! you are not just my enemy, but more than an enemy.

Batman: Well, I am here to break your jaw if you don't answer me correctly, besides you have a wonderful jaw and that one fake smile on your face will be teared apart when I do that, and that is going to be painful, so I want you to answer me correctly.

Joker: Where is your smile? you don't smile so often, but you are creating a smile for the world I see, they are all smiling like me, this makeup, this painted laughing smile, hides my 'Batman frown' and I say it again, You Complete Me. And about my jaw, you can break me completely, but you will have to listen to what I tell.

Batman: You are just a criminal, who murders people, brings chaos, I do not Complete you.

Joker: And you? Do you think you bring peace to the world? you fight mad men like me all day and do you think these people appreciate or deserve it? No! with Chaos comes Catastrophe, and you bring chaos, you are chaos, and you know what I am.

Batman: You blasted mayor's house. He, his wife and his children, they all died. Why did you do that?

Joker: I didn't kill his wife, or his children, they were fetched from the place and trust me they are safe until they all tear up apart and spread all around in pieces in a few hours.

Batman: You Bastard! Where are they?

Joker: Ha Ha Ha Ha! see, it's so easy to bring out the foe in you with one lie! Ah the roof is leaking, I think it will rain for long today, tell Gordon to fix the roof, we might not be safe anymore, underneath it.

ACT 2

Batman: I am a result of actions of people like you. And I will keep standing at the gate till the next sunrise.

Joker: And how about this, the sunrise never takes place. You keep standing there, all prepared, but eventually wait for the sunrise and die. There is no ending to this, actually there is no ending to anything, and there will be no ending to me.

Batman: Sunrise is justice and I will bring it. After all the miseries and sufferings people like you bring to this world there will always be a justice. We play fair Joker, and you see, even in this room you are the one in handcuffs.

Joker: Are you sure? am I the one in handcuffs? Ha Ha Ha, and I thought my jokes were bad! they will throw you away once they are done, friend.

Batman: You think everyone is ugly like you, no they are not! you will be hanged up, dead and all your remains will be finished by me. Justice will prevail, it will take it's course. And it always will.

Joker: Ah! and how about the fact that my remains will blow up Judge's car or blow up their house, or poison them before 'Justice prevails'. Can you stop them? are you justice? and if you are kill me! kill me right now! you cannot, you are in handcuffs, you go by your set of 'rules'.

Batman: Clever, I can't finish your followers before you, because you will create new till you are alive. But I trust, I trust the process and yes, if I had to become justice for foes like you, I will.

Joker: You trust the process. Is that your rule?

Batman: This world operates on trust. We need to trust in trust.

Joker: How about, Gordon, do you trust him?

Batman: What do you mean?

Joker: What if, you kill me and then Gordon kills you and gets the promotion, for police you are a masked outsider who should be arrested for interrupting in law and order of Gotham city. Maybe he just kills you, blames you for crimes which you never did, becomes the new hero of the city, Can you trust him?

Batman: Yes, I do trust him.

Joker: Ha! you know my crime partner bought some of his team mates a few days ago. He just showed them some money and they all shifted their sides. I can name them if you want! and they were all patriots!

Batman: Why should I trust you?

Joker: Because that is your rule I guess. You don't have a gun with you, you don't kill people, maybe because you think, they will change after your punch. But the truth is, the punch only brings out the rage in them, and I am result of one of those punches.

Batman: No, the punch is for breaking their nose and to tell them that pain will be more painful then death itself. And they need to choose.

Joker: So what do they choose? (Batman punches Joker on his face) Ho Ha Ha! I didn't see that coming.

Batman: So what will you choose?

Joker: Another punch. (Batman punches Joker again) Another punch! (Batman punches again) my nose started bleeding Ha! well, another punch. Why did you stop? Punch me again hero.

Batman: What do you want to say?

Joker: Pain, is worse than death as you say. I didn't kill people when I was a kid, pain is what made me do that! pain is the reason why we both are ugly Batman! and now I had learnt how to enjoy this pain! you can punch me thousands of times and I still will choose more pain. You would have to kill me to stop me, and I would have to kill you to stop you.

Batman: I can't kill you. And, you won't kill me.

Joker: Ha Ha! because you are my entertainment. Or you can go grab Gordon's gun and kill me straight away. It's a good opportunity.

ACT 3

Batman: You will be hanged very soon, I don't need to kill you. Justice will.

Joker: The order you are so proud of, is fragile. You are order Batman, and you are chaos. Just disturb one thing, and the whole order turns into a chaos. You are good example of that.

Batman: I am order, and I am not fragile.

Joker: You are fragile, if you were not, then you would have let me sleep peacefully tonight, and do not visit me at all. I disturbed you and this city and here we are fight with each other till now.

Batman: I am here to tell you that you lost.

Joker: Did I? people with masks won? They are all ugly, all these so called nice people, they are all ugly like you and me. They are wearing a mask, just shake their order and they will all frighten up to show their real faces. And then they don't know who Joker is or who Batman is. All they know is themselves, their own purpose, their own needs, their own victories. No one cares about you. No one ever will. You are alone, all alone and to live, you need to kill the person whom you kissed on the forehead this morning, before they kill you. Survival of the creepiest.

Batman: There are no victories. Neither you win, neither I win. Neither you loose, neither I loose. But what they all need right now is hope. The sunrise will happen and it will happen despite of anything. This dark night will fade away soon. The rain will stop, and this city and it's people will prove that under the mask they are not ugly like you.

Joker: Until! their own soul tells them to show their true colors Ha Ha Ha! Let their order break, and then see what happens. All these rules, let them break and let's see what comes out. They are all hiding something. And matter of fact my friend, you are practically wearing a mask right now Ha Ha Ha! you have to wear a mask to operate.

Gordon: Batman! it's an emergency, Judge Victoria has died in her car! it was blown up. We need to hurry!

Joker: Ha Ha Ha! Bye Batman! it was nice talking to you, but the sunrise awaits you Ha Ha!

The Key to Deception

Jordan Kingsley was a man with some bad habits but a good sense of business. His fortune had afforded him many advantages, including various artifacts and awards that adorned his large hall. However, the most prized possession he had acquired in his lifetime was a set of ten rare beads, each worth a million dollars. This fact wasn't a secret among his acquaintances, who included his elder brother, Benjamin Kingsley, his wife, Harriet Kingsley, and their son, Clinton Kingsley. Unfortunately, Clinton was autistic, though remarkably creative, and Jordan felt a special bond with him, sponsoring his education out of genuine love rather than pity. Jordan was selective about those he let into his heart, reserving his true affection for those who earned it. This often excluded his own brother, his brother's wife, and even his business partners. Harriet, aware of Jordan's distant relationship with her son, made efforts to keep Clinton away from Jordan, fearing that the uncle's ...

CHAPTER SIX: THE FLAMES

MAYOR'S OFFICE  Gryffin Scout smoked heavily looking out of the window at the moon. "What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...
