CHAPTER THREE: THE CHALLENGE

"The Federal Government took this decision two weeks ago and was set for a discussion all this time to look out for opposition but the ruling party denied any improvision and decided to go for it. The Taxes have been increased by 10% and any citizen unable to pay taxes will have to face legal consequences," read the old father from the newspaper, and continued, "Do they have a mental illness? why are they doing this?", "I don't understand, idiots, what are they even going to do with all this money, are they going to eat it?" said the old mother in the house. "I don't know, let's keep the hopes up, and then comes this new guy!" exclaimed the old man and continued, "Gunther Fisk, the devil in the shape of man, God is sleeping or what? murdered the poor girl so bad, our kids are not safe these days, neither are we, that's why I closed the shop early last night and came straight to home," "Too bad, I pray for that poor girl's soul, and I've heard that a detective named JJ Warren is after him, let's see if he could make it," said the old mom, "Yes, he's a young lad, made a big mistake involving in this case, you have a long life to live and it's all risky to deal with criminals like these, God bless him," said the old man and closed the newspaper.

JJ Warren had been with Olivia since the last night when he was all tired from the stress caused to him by Fisk. "You look messed up, did you catch him?" asked Olivia offering Warren a cup of tea, "No, not yet, this human is a headache, but we got new shreds of evidence and suspects, the guards family claims that he died on his way because of a car accident but we just don't know who was driving the car," said Warren putting the cup on the table and giving Olivia a tight hug, "Will you miss me after I'm dead?" asked Warren quietly, "No, I'll marry a new boy who looks just like you, talks just like you and, disregards my tea just like you," said Olivia, "Too bad, you mean, you'll cry every day in my memory, and stay alone because there is one and only one James Warren," said Warren. "Oh! tell me this, if you had to choose between me and your job, what will you choose?" asked Olivia, "That's a tough one," said Warren followed by a laugh, "Tough one? so, you are going to choose your job over me?" said Olivia with an incoming feeling of disgust, but before it could show up, Warren immediately covered up, "Absolutely not! I will choose you, because, I might get another job, but you, there is one and only one Olivia in this entire universe," said Warren looking in eyes of his love and both remained quiet-looking into each other, and the door knocked.

"It's Spencer! please come, fast sir, this one is urgent, we have to be quick," said Spencer out of the door, Warren got the feeling of disappointment realizing he would have to miss the most beautiful moment of his life, "I have to go, sweety, see you later," said Warren and ran out of the door. Olivia nodded her head and let Warren go on the war. Warren entered the office of the police department and found a six-year-old boy sitting on a table, "He came just a few minutes ago with a paper in his hands, the paper consists of a message from Fisk again!" said Spencer. Warren took the paper which read,

This kid is brave, don't bother him he hasn't seen my face and neither does he know me, but he knows one thing. The money I borrowed from those five rich men is kept in a workstation which this boy will lead you to. He knows nothing but only the path and moreover, he can't speak, so follow him to get the money and you have only limited time so hurry up, I am pretty sure you will find something in there if you won't find the money. Glad to play with you Warren.

Gunther Fisk (Fake names are still funny)

"Everyone! gather up we need to go to recover the money, Spencer go for Flavius, Boris, and Kevin and tell them about this, and everyone else follows this kid along with me, he knows where the money lies!" shouted Warren initiating a commotion in the office, "Hey, take us to that place kid, let's go!" said Warren and the kid stepped off the table and headed towards the workstation. Six cops went along with Warren and the kid, "He hires people who cannot speak all the time, freaking genius," murmured Warren moving along the way.

"Mr. Flavius Black, you need to come with me, hurry up!" said Spencer at Flavius' house, "What happened? everything good?" asked Flavius in a tense tone, "Everything is fine, Warren just found where your money is, so we need to take Kevin and Boris along with us and go for Warren, so hurry up or your money is gone!" said Spencer and Flavius hurried up.

The kid finally paused on the way and pointed towards the workstation and then fled away. "That's it! come on!" shouted Warren and headed inside the workstation. The workstation was empty, there was no sign of a single penny there, "We got late, or he lied!" said Warren and looked around in the empty workstation. On the left wall lied a warning which read,

Alas! you got late, and now I will do something good with this money. You might be thinking that why is this man doing all this? well, let me answer that, I am doing this because I want to prove something. And I challenge you to stop me from proving it or either prove me wrong. In time you will understand what I want to prove, so let's see if you can defeat me. Tighten up, Chaos is coming...

Gunther Fisk

"Challenging me, alright, let's see where you go Fisk," said Warren starring at the wall with rage. "Hey! did you get our money?" shouted Flavius running inside the workstation with others, "No, we lost it, but don't worry, Fisk will pay your debt soon," said Warren, when Flavius headed towards Warren, "How about this, maybe you are Fisk and faking it the whole time," said Flavius, Warren smiled and replied, "If I were Fisk, you would be already dead Mr. Black," "Warren! everyone! you have to see this someone just showered a lot of money on people of the city!" shouted Spencer. "This is your money gentlemen, he distributed it among the normal people," said Warren standing dumbstruck for a while, and Flavius, Kevin, and Boris ran outside to look at people enjoy all this free money.

The money was showering on the heads of people and the lucky ones were able to catch the bills. The rich men looked at this scene with their hands on their heads. A shadow appeared walking among these greedy people collecting all this money looking at all these greedy men and women. All hungry for this free money they were getting, all the coins and bills which were being thrown at them. These were the same people who were bothered by the government increasing taxes and now they were the ones collecting all this. These were hypocrites, these were the real frauds, these were humans. The shadow said, "Are they going to eat it?"

The Key to Deception

Jordan Kingsley was a man with some bad habits but a good sense of business. His fortune had afforded him many advantages, including various artifacts and awards that adorned his large hall. However, the most prized possession he had acquired in his lifetime was a set of ten rare beads, each worth a million dollars. This fact wasn't a secret among his acquaintances, who included his elder brother, Benjamin Kingsley, his wife, Harriet Kingsley, and their son, Clinton Kingsley. Unfortunately, Clinton was autistic, though remarkably creative, and Jordan felt a special bond with him, sponsoring his education out of genuine love rather than pity. Jordan was selective about those he let into his heart, reserving his true affection for those who earned it. This often excluded his own brother, his brother's wife, and even his business partners. Harriet, aware of Jordan's distant relationship with her son, made efforts to keep Clinton away from Jordan, fearing that the uncle's ...

CHAPTER SIX: THE FLAMES

MAYOR'S OFFICE  Gryffin Scout smoked heavily looking out of the window at the moon. "What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...
