CAPTAIN FREAK 2- CHAPTER 4: CHAOS

 




"This morning our sources reported about an encounter in Green Woods Bridge done by two officials sent by Dr.Josh. The dead one was spotted as the killer of Dr.Haris, as people call him, Captain Freak." said the News anchor. Everywhere in the city, there was news and news of the death of Andy. 'CAPTAIN FREAK DEAD' was the shining headline of the day. "My brother was a good man. What he ever wanted was a crime-free, clean city for its honest citizens. And today we took our revenge from so-called Captain Freak, who took away the most honest person we all knew. I am always at your service, dear citizens, let's put our party first in elections." Josh was shouting in public addressing them to vote for him. 

The Freak Party lined up near the doors of Josh's office which was empty trying to break through it, they rallied around everywhere, with banners saying, 'JUSTICE FOR CAPTAIN', 'NO VOTES FOR JOSH', 'DON'T VOTE A CRIMINAL'. Protests and shoutings were prevailing all around the city. This was for their hero Captain freak. "We all know that it was a plot set up by Josh to kill Captain, and why did he even held him in jail and delayed elections for a month? we all want to know the answers, and if he can't answer us, we'll continue." said one protestor on a news channel. "Sir, the protests are going above our levels of tolerance, what we should do?" asked one party member from Josh, "We wait!" said Josh.

Nancy was watching all the news from her home. The gun was kept on the table in front of her. All she wanted to do was to talk to herself but then came a call, 

"Hey! are you Nancy?"

"Yes, who is it?"

"It's me, Gwen, I was just concerned,"

"About what?"

"That our name doesn't come out in news,"

"Don't worry, it won't, and even if it comes out, what worse will ever happen, we'll just die, that's it"

"Shut up! I have kids to feed, damn it, there's no point talking to you." and Gwen finished the call. Nancy was lost in her own memories. All the while she closed her eyes she just saw Henry dying in front of her. 

Nancy couldn't stop and she picked up the gun kept at the table and pointed it to her head, "I am coming for you Henry" said Nancy and put her finger on the trigger. She wasn't so nervous with a gun pointed at her by herself. 

The lake in which Andy jumped had an end to it. That end was in the same woods, which were still glowing. Andy's body landed up there. And slowly he opened his eyes to see darkness all around. With a little effort, he pushed himself but couldn't move. Every attempt he made he couldn't move. And then finally he saw someone in front of him. It was the same shadow that enlightened Andy's rest of the life till then. It was Captain Freak. Captain Freak offered his hand of help for Andy to get him up. Andy's eyes filled up with tears with regret. Andy was the one who faded Captain away from his life and now he came back to rescue him. Captain laid Andy on his shoulders and headed to their house.

Andy was then laid on the warm bed by Captain when he saw tears in Andy's eyes, "What is it?" asked Captain, "Tears, maybe"answered Andy,

"But they were never seen in your eyes before, all this time you took all the pains, you were the strongest one I knew," 

"No, you are the strongest one Captain,"

"People do not care about your worries, your emotions, your feelings, all they do is play a game, and the game is called hurt. Do you remember?"

"Yes I do, and now it's my turn," said Andy when the captain faded away in the air like he never existed. Andy was now damn sure to carry his gun wherever he would go and then he turned on the television to see who was in problem.

"And the final results are out, Dr.Josh Miller has won with a good number," said the news anchor. Andy smiled at this, "I know who is in trouble now".

  "Freak, what a joke! it's been 13 years now and he would be free in a few days. But glad at least his party lost all the elections all this while. Andy Hanson, that's what is his real name I guess?" said Dr. Gordon to his assistant manager Boris who was Party manager of the Green Party.
