The story begins 200 hundred earthly years ago, on an unknown planet of another galaxy. Three friends, Peter, Alex, and Flitch who are kidnapped boys from an Earth-like planet rob the space police weapons to bring them to their master. But the Space police attack and kills their master when the three separate and try to hide but Peter is caught by police for interrogation. Peter refuses to inform the space police about other robbed weapons when the space police tear his body apart and capture his soul like other criminals. But Peter who is a powerful being of some other race escapes with his soul.
In present-day on earth lives a 16-year-old boy Mitsuo, who is a loner at school with almost no friends and wishes to be famous in school and has a crush on Miss Sumire a pop singer. Participating in a quiz competition Mitsuo wins a date with Sumire which makes him excited but that very night he is kidnapped by the space police. The leader of space police Berman introduces him to the space police and tells him about a lost radioactive material of the other galaxy on earth which he needs to find. But to find it Berman gives Mitsuo some powers and a suit making him the Perman. Mitsuo also gets a duplicate bot who would naturally take shape of Mitsuo while he is on missions. Back in the town, Mitsuo befriends his duplicate bot and both use Perman's powers to become famous in town and school. Mitsuo enjoys his time when he decides to visit Sumire in America leaving bot Mitsuo behind.
In America, Mitsuo is unable to meet Sumire but decides to spend time in America when he spots the gem there in one of the trucks going to an airport. He chases the truck when he gets attacked by four non-earthly beings called the raiders whom he is unable to handle when three more alike of Perman arrive to help him namely, Pako, Payan, and a monkey, Booby. The three somehow handle the raiders but lose the gem in the trucks. Returning to Berman they realize that they need to work as a team with Mitsuo as a leader to get the gem. The raiders also go to their boss called Havoc who is none but Peter in his soul. Peter absorbs the soul of the lost raiders killing them and decides to get the gem on his own. Back in the plane where the goods of the trucks were to be imported the Perman team arrives and enters the plane to find Havoc there with the gem. Havoc offers them to be part of space raiders but they deny. Overpowering Havoc Perman takes the gem from him and goes to Berman.
On earth, Mitsuo's bot attends the date with Sumire whom he realizes to be hiding something when he learns that Pako is none but Miss Sumire herself and he was on a date with her bot when Mitsuo's bot falls for Sumire's bot. Getting back to Berman Mitsuo gives the gem and decides to retire from the mission and go back to earth to attend his date with Sumire which obviously offends Pako to tries to stop him. In this while, Berman realizes that the gem is not a radioactive element but a trap to enter the security of Space police. Realizing this, he finds Havoc with his raider army who attacks the space police overpowering them. Havoc shows his true powers to Berman and calls him Alex injuring him. Perman gets confused when he and others somehow defeat Havoc's army but Havoc gets successful in taking the weapon called HARP which stole his body from him to get it back. Havoc also robs some of the Space Police's weapons, raiding them he leaves.
Berman coming back to his senses tells the four the true story. Peter, Alex, and Flitch were best friends but when Peter was attempted to kill, he escaped with his soul but left his body behind. But on the same night, Alex was also caught who in turn helped the space police. Impressed with Alex they accepted him and trained him to be a fighter and named him Berman. Years after when Alex grew up, Peter returned to get his body back but failed as the general defeated him. But he knew that Alex can't kill Peter as both had a pact of not fighting with each other when they were friends. So, when Alex became the general he took advantage and stole HARP. Perman and the others decide to help the space police to get HARP back when Berman orders them to eliminate Havoc permanently.
Leaving in space Perman and Pako go for the raider ship and Payan and Booby go for finding out how to kill a Havoc as the race from which they belong, called the Borels, is the toughest in the universe. Entering Borel planet Booby and Payan learn about Flitch's death which was caused by a special kind of Borel Sword when they plan to get it. In the raider ship, Perman and Pako try to stop Havoc from using Harp and regaining his body back but they fail again. Havoc gets his body back finally and returns the HARP to Perman. Taking HARP back to space police Perman and Pako decide to return to earth.
On earth, Havoc dressed as another member of Space police with their weapons attacks the humans overpowering them with his raider army when Perman arrives at the rescue. Pako also arrives to fight the army and Perman faces Havoc. On the command of injured Berman, the Space Police heads to earth to help them fight the raider army. Pako and the space police finish half of the army easily but start to get overpowered. Perman and Havoc battle up ruthlessly when Havoc uses his powers to cause a mild earthquake but Perman somehow stops him. Booby and Payan arrive with the Borel Sword when then hand it over to Perman who finally kills Havoc. Berman restoring his health allows Perman and the team to keep their powers and work for the earth's protection.
Mitsuo finds his bot kissing Sumire's bot which pisses him off when he realizes that Pako is none but Sumire.
