THE DON: CHAPTER 6

Don Harry Hagen, sits on his throne in Brooklyn. With Don Vito's blessings, this new Don began his day planning to normalize the business with six families. After a month of Hobbie's death, it was ever difficult for anyone to figure out who killed Hobbie Brown, Harry became what he feared and maybe that's every man's fate. You become what you fear, Harry wore a blue coat and pants with brown polished shoes. A white shirt with a blue tie. Mostly the members of crime families and Dons would wear suits for they never knew in whose wedding they might have to go, and also whose funeral it might be next? Hagen learned about the business from Vito for this entire month and was ready to take action for he was a Don by blood. This was the same boy who was helpless at age of seven, and the same man who was one of the most powerful crime families, at age of thirty. Harry also grew a beard in this while and looked like an absolute don. A new life began from this day.

The six families gathered in a dining room of a hotel owned by Don Vito who was also present with all those families. The heads of each family sat on chairs immensely waiting for the new don to appear. Finally, Don Harry entered the room and everyone rose up. Harry approached Vito and hugged him and kissed him on his cheek. "Welcome to Brooklyn, have a seat, my fellow mates," and the meeting began with Harry being the spokesperson for the day. "A tough time it had been, for all of us, and I know you all suspect me for ruining your business when I was the hitman for Don Hobbie Brown, well yes! it was me who did that all," said Harry. All the heads started looking at each other with a confused feeling and they did not know how to react when the killer admits openly that he killed, "You must be dead then!" shouted Don Francis. "Well, if you kill me, you will also kill your own businesses whose venture is with us, and I understand that you all do not know how to react, I understand," Harry replied, "but I have a deal for you all, and it is going to benefit you all more than me, and I guess that would be fair for all of us," "What's the deal?" asked Don Antonio. Don Vito looked at this entire scene sitting at corner observing everything and how this new boss makes a deal. "Well, your businesses need a reconstruction, you all can reconstruct your business till you start making a revenue without our venture, and after that, it would be your choice that you want to do a venture with us or not, and that way, we all would be in benefit, we would get as much as we require, nothing more, nothing less," said Don Harry.

"Who would give us revenue to rebuild?" asked Don Francis, "Don Francis, let me put forth an offer, an offer of friendship to all of us present in this room, we will give you the money to rebuild your business!" said Harry. "For me, friendship is much more important than this business, and you all are nothing but a family for me! let's rise together, shall we?" said Don Harry and this brought a spark of joy on every man's face present in the room, "We agree!" said Don Francis with a wide smile on his face and he raised his glass of wine in the air. Eventually, all the other bosses raised their glasses of wine in the air, and finally, Harry did the same and a deal was made that day. Don Vito sitting at a distance gave a smile for he knew, that the deal Harry made is only going to benefit him in every way and still other Dons would think they were winning. Harry would gain much more profit in all the time other families rebuild their business and this friendship and good relations would also gain him a joint venture of all the six families which would eventually benefit Harry only. All the six families were happy and joyful and they had their lunch with Don Harry Hagen that day. Before they would leave they all gave Harry a hug with a spark of joy on their faces. Harry stole the show that day. "And that's how we make a deal!" said Don Vito with a giggle and hugged Don Harry.

Tom and Elicia learned about Harry becoming the don a few days later when Harry got famous in the town and the beef seller for whom Harry worked became famous. Harry would buy beef from the same shop he worked in, and the same beef shop owner told Elicia about him becoming the kingpin of the town. Elicia was obviously angry and upset when Harry visited her one day as a surprise. Tom was happy to see Harry visiting them but Elicia was trying not to burst out at Harry. She didn't even greet him when he visited the house, Harry was obviously not happy with this but it was his sister's house. Harry also was glad to see his one-year-old nephew playing with a wooden horse toy which Harry brought as a gift for him. Harry was filled with delight and immense joy looking at his tiny friend.

The dinner began, and Harry decided to break the barrier between him and his sister. "Elicia, I know you are upset but there was no other option," Harry said, and Elicia kept quiet. "Elicia, I am a sorry sister, talk to me please," Harry actually broke down speaking these words as they came from his soul. "Why don't you just kill me and finish all this up, I know you are good at killing," Elicia said, "I am sorry," said Harry with slightly watery eyes but didn't shed a tear. Elicia knew that her brother might cry, but never in her twenty-eight years of life she had seen her brother cry except the day of her mother's death. "You had a choice, Harry! you could have avoided all this! but for you this power, this money is much more important than your own family, and here you are seeing your sister in two years!" said Elicia with a raised tone. "For me, you are important Eli! I did this all for you and your joy, and I care about my family, 'My sister is my world' I had always said that to myself my entire life!" said Harry. Elicia rapidly finished her dinner and escaped an argument picking up her son and going to the living room. Harry and Tom looked at each other with a hint of sadness on their faces. "How is work going Tom? if you need help you can call me anytime," said Harry, "Work is fine, we made a huge profit this year, I hope yours is good too, how is Oliver?" Tom asked, "Oli is good," Harry said.

Harry went back home and cried an entire night all alone in his room for it was a bad day and he hardly believed that his sister would talk to him ever again. The next morning Oliver showed up in the room and he had a piece of news for Harry. "What is Oli?" Harry asked, "We got a call from some man named Jake, he wants to do business with us, and this might bring us huge profits," said Oliver, "When did he call?" Harry asked, "In the early morning you slept, he was calling straight from Philadelphia," Oliver said, Harry got alarmed when he heard Philadelphia for he suspected someone, "Tell me his name again!" Harry said in a loud volume, "He told his name as Jake Andersen, he is the prince of crime family there in Philadelphia!" Oliver said. Harry sat dumbstruck there for a few minutes to digest that fate was bringing him closer to something, this was the game of fate. "I know who he is, and this time I am going to kill them!" said Harry.

Oliver learned the entire truth about Jake Andersen, who was the son of Travis Andersen, the man who betrayed and killed Harry's father to take over as the don. Harry told Oliver to set up a meeting soon with Jake Andersen and before they would set up a meeting he wanted to collect data about his enemies. Jake Andersen joined the business after his father got old and retired, before which he was doing business in Russia. Jake Andersen was a rough tall man and had a wife and a month old son. Jake's wife Quincy Becca was a beautiful young woman who despised him for marrying her and ruining her entire life. Harry planned something really interesting for the Andersen family. He would make friends with Jake Andersen and win his trust, and in the same process win over his business too, and till the time he owes the business on a larger level, he would kill Travis Andersen, leaving Jake and his family for rags. 'Never show your palm' was something he had brilliantly learned till now. Harry never decided to kill Jake, for he only wanted to revenge his father's death, and it had nothing to do with Jake or his family, but would he come back for revenge? yes, but Harry would make sure he doesn't.

Harry along with Oliver and a few other members of his crime family flew his way to Philadelphia and settled in a hotel for the night. The same hotel would be the place of his and Jake's meeting the next morning. Harry's mind was marinating many thoughts and flashbacks while he decided to give his body some rest for the meeting the next day.

The Key to Deception

Jordan Kingsley was a man with some bad habits but a good sense of business. His fortune had afforded him many advantages, including various artifacts and awards that adorned his large hall. However, the most prized possession he had acquired in his lifetime was a set of ten rare beads, each worth a million dollars. This fact wasn't a secret among his acquaintances, who included his elder brother, Benjamin Kingsley, his wife, Harriet Kingsley, and their son, Clinton Kingsley. Unfortunately, Clinton was autistic, though remarkably creative, and Jordan felt a special bond with him, sponsoring his education out of genuine love rather than pity. Jordan was selective about those he let into his heart, reserving his true affection for those who earned it. This often excluded his own brother, his brother's wife, and even his business partners. Harriet, aware of Jordan's distant relationship with her son, made efforts to keep Clinton away from Jordan, fearing that the uncle's ...

CHAPTER SIX: THE FLAMES

MAYOR'S OFFICE  Gryffin Scout smoked heavily looking out of the window at the moon. "What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...
