CHAPTER TWO: THE HERO

 JJ WARREN'S OFFICE

'Dark though and through, but it is never there,

Not a disease but can make you sick for years,

You can't touch it, You can't hear,

But when the hero arrives, it disappears'

"Are you clever enough to solve that Mr. Warren?" said Miss Marie a new college of JJ Warren and a new medical analyst in the office. Miss Marie was a young bright beautiful woman with long brown hair and blue eyes capable enough to take Warren and Spencer's heart. Marie joined a week ago but made friends with most of the people in the office who were mostly men. "Mr. Warren! can you?" asked this beautiful dream woman, "Maybe, I can," said Warren in a nervous tone. Warren was always on his toes whenever he would be around Marie for he could never afford to make a mistake that would possibly turn her off. As a man loses his mind, so did Warren lost his whenever she would be around. "Well, maybe you could," said Marie with a soft smile at Warren, "I came here to tell you that I had taken the cup for my analysis and will soon begin my work on it," "Oh! yes, you did great, a great job Miss Marie, I wish I could be an analyst like you so we could be in the same room!" said Warren like a moth speaks to flame, "HaHa! then that would be called 'The Mad Lab'" said Marie following laughter, although this joke wasn't funny, Warren still laughed, he had to laugh. Marie continued the laugh and went back to her laboratory.

"I couldn't be much convinced then hearing all this conversation of our boss and her new college," said Spencer appearing from behind who was hidden under Warren's desk all this while, followed with a smirk, "Spencer! you asshole! you were here all this while!" shouted Warren. Miss Marie was standing outside the room hearing her secret moth and laughing while all this took place. Marie somehow had a heart for Warren. "Yes, I was here! and I was watching, how a skillful master of reading human minds, winning people's hearts and leaving everyone blank got blank by the sight of one pretty woman," said Spencer with a slight laugh. "I wasn't blank! I just couldn't think of anything, maybe it was not my day," said Warren making excuses. Marie blushing went back to her laboratory finally. "Well, if you keep going that way, maybe she leaves with a new JJ Warren, who doesn't go blank on seeing her," said Spencer, "What do you mean?" said Warren in a low voice, "You see, women, they like men who don't lick their asses, they want someone who can take charge, someone who you actually are when they are not around Mr. Warren!" said Spencer, "So, you mean I must change my tone with her?" asked Warren, "No! do not change your tone, be who you are, but make sure you don't freeze, you already have been with one woman earlier, you must not be so shaky man!" said Spencer, "Yeah! maybe you are right, I'll see, but first let's do some work," said Warren. "So, what do you think about the riddles?" asked Spencer, "I think it's stupid and we should return to the crime scene again," said Warren.

VICTOR SMITH'S MANSION

"Well they followed my orders, I liked that!" said Warren gazing around the entire Veranda. "There are no weapons but a knife with no blood on it, lying on the floor," said Spencer, "This must be Victor's weapon, he must have suspected someone in his house and thus the killer conjured his knife on his back giving him a surprise!" said Warren. "I guess, but he looks terrified sitting on the sofa," said Spencer, "We should diagnose his body, send it to Miss Marie, she must do her work on this body too," "But I don't think it would work!" said Warren, "He was killed with a knife is all I know, but we have nothing to do with the dead ones, let's just send it to his family rather than sending it to poor Miss Marie who hates the smell of these dead flowers," "No she doesn't," said Spencer with a rather sarcastic smile. "But how did the killer enter the mansion?" asked Warren. "The doors were locked and there are only two windows in the veranda," said Spencer.

Warren and Spencer looked at the two windows when they found that one window had a small pen fixed to the end of the window which could help the killer enter the house. "This is it! he used this mechanism to enter the house," said Spencer, "This is strange, I had seen it somewhere else too," said Warren in a rather doubtful low voice looking at the pen. "The Kingwill incident! Oh my God!" exclaimed Warren with his eyes wide open, "It was a terrific incident but I talked to a few officers who are in charge of that case, they told me about their entrance, through the windows of the houses, this killer is one of those Kingwill killers," said Warren. "So, what do we do next? let's inform the officers in charge of the Kingwill case, I will and I definitely will not spare them at any cost," said Warren.

MISS MARIE'S LABORATORY

"Unfortunately, I couldn't help on this," said Miss Marie with a disappointed face, "What do you mean?" asked Spencer, "The cup contained no fingerprints at all, our killer had some resistance to fingerprints, maybe gloves," said Miss Marie. "We got a pen from the place of crime, I suppose it must also have no fingerprints then," said Warren in a disappointment. "They had gloves on, or their hands could be burnt, both of these things do not leave any fingerprints," said Marie, "Who would be so ruthless to themself to get their own hands burnt," said Spencer, "There could be Spencer, someone who can murder so many people ruthlessly can be ruthless enough to do this, but let's not deny that they could be wearing gloves too," said Warren.

"Well now I should leave it's already getting dark, I must leave," said Miss Marie packing her stuff up to leave the office now. "We should leave too I guess! isn't it Spencer?" said Warren seeking an opportunity to spend a lovely night ride back home with a heavenly dream girl. "Oh yes, we should leave too," said Spencer with a slight smile on his face. Matter of fact, Miss Marie hid her smile too rubbing her hand on her lips, she was blushing.

OUTSIDE JJ WARREN'S OFFICE

"Fear!" shouted Warren. "What was that?" said Marie looking at Warren. Spencer and Marie both had their eyes on Warren who was looking down with a slight smile of victory. "Answer to that riddle is Fear," said Warren, "The killer already gave a clue, fear meant the Kingwill incident too, we could have guessed it through the riddle! but I underestimated it, Fear is a weapon, and they will use it at its best!" finished Warren with slight fear in his eyes for upcoming battles.

The Key to Deception

Jordan Kingsley was a man with some bad habits but a good sense of business. His fortune had afforded him many advantages, including various artifacts and awards that adorned his large hall. However, the most prized possession he had acquired in his lifetime was a set of ten rare beads, each worth a million dollars. This fact wasn't a secret among his acquaintances, who included his elder brother, Benjamin Kingsley, his wife, Harriet Kingsley, and their son, Clinton Kingsley. Unfortunately, Clinton was autistic, though remarkably creative, and Jordan felt a special bond with him, sponsoring his education out of genuine love rather than pity. Jordan was selective about those he let into his heart, reserving his true affection for those who earned it. This often excluded his own brother, his brother's wife, and even his business partners. Harriet, aware of Jordan's distant relationship with her son, made efforts to keep Clinton away from Jordan, fearing that the uncle's ...

CHAPTER SIX: THE FLAMES

MAYOR'S OFFICE  Gryffin Scout smoked heavily looking out of the window at the moon. "What are my orders sir," said a cop in the room, "I want to meet JJ Warren, as quick as possible, things are getting insane, I can't take further risks, let's see what he has to offer me, contact him tomorrow morning," said Scout.  THE WAREHOUSE From the window at the roof of the warehouse, a can of fuel fell to the floor, after which a matchstick fell, raising flames in the entire space. Warren looked at the rising flames anxiously when he ran to a corner saving himself from the rising flames approaching him. "Why are you doing this?" Warren shouted in a rage, "I will kill you JJ Warren, I promise you, this will be your end, and I am honored to kill such a worthy opponent tonight!" said the echo. "Leave my friends alone, they are innocent, don't hurt them!" shouted Warren, "They will die before you, I assure you of that, and this w...
