Richter Fenius, a French businessman in the city of New York in 1885 was visited by an old man who had a pale face with no expressions, had a letter in his hands. The letter said,
Dear Sir, You have been visited by a butler of mine with an intention to have a large sum of money as a loan from you. I am making this deal in a hurry because I am not present in the city right now and have an urgent need to pay a large bill I took a few years ago. I promise I would return your money in a span of 2 months with any rate of interest you wish. I know you are a businessman and might be doubtful of this deal but I assure you, contacting my butler would help you out with any inquiry. If you are ready for this deal, please hand over my butler a sum of Dollar 40 and I shall soon remove this debt of mine.
Yours Truly,
Gunther Fisk.
Richter looked at the Butler for a while and then said, "How am I going to contact you further?", the butler smiled and handed over a paper, which had the address of the Butler's house. " 40 is a big sum, I hope he is able to return this one," the Butler smiled and turned back to leave with the money. Richter was still in doubt so, he called upon his cop friend to keep an eye on the butler's house. The butler keeping the money in on the money openly on the table shook the cops keeping an eye on him. Taking a shower, the butler left the house in the same clothes to visit the next businessman.
Gregor Husk, an American businessman got the same letter demanding 40 dollars. Husk agreed and paid the butler the same amount. But Husk was still not sure about the deal thus he sent a boy from his office to keep an eye on the butler.
The butler went home and slept. The next morning Butler visited three more businessmen named Kevin Gate, Boris Travis, and Flavius Black. Taking money from the three and getting more spies to chase him the butler left for his boss to hand him over the money. Butler locked the door of his house and dropped a piece of paper after he left. All men who were waiting to eagerly see what the butler left behind jumped on the note and shook to see each other when they learned that they were chasing the same man all this while. And the paper said,
You are all funny. Tell your bosses that their money is safe and will be returned at the specified time.
The five businessmen gathered together and discussed this account among themselves. "His butler never spoke a word, I am not sure about this one," said Kevin, "Then why did you gave your money? you could have denied," said Flavius, "So did you, I never knew he took money from you all, and I thought that I would throw a good rate of interest on him and have more money and just gave everything to that old man," said Richter. "Gunther Fisk, never heard this name before, have you?" said Flavius, "Maybe, nephew of Rhodey Fisk or son of Anna Fisk, but these two are not infield," said Husk. The five talked and gossiped, drank beer, laughed, and left the room to their own houses.
Two months later, Richter was waking up from his bed at midnight. Half awaken he got chills to see a frivolous man in front of him. Richter screamed the whole night and his horror could be heard all around his lonely mansion. On the other night, Gregor Husk saw a shadow of a man outside his window holding a knife when Husk went outside to catch him. As Husk headed forward, the shadow started moving towards him, it kept on moving faster and brought horrors to Husk. The shadow then became fast and Husk freaked out running inside his mansion and the shadow entered inside too. Screams of Gregor Husk could be heard all around his house.
The police checked in for investigating the two dead bodies when Flavius, Kevin, and Boris got frightened of these murders. Both the dead bodies had ruthless shapes. One eye was taken out, had bruises in the back, scratches all over the face, the head was bleeding, toes were missing, nostrils were filled with thumbs. "JJ Warren," the head cop said.
JJ Warren was a 23 year old young but highly intelligent detective. JJ Warren was very fond of reading detective novels since childhood and used to help his father solve many cases which inspired him to become a detective himself. JJ Warren had only one belonging, in the whole of New York, and that was his love interest, Olivia. Olivia reminded Warren about his family who lived far off in some village while he himself was out there solving cases. Warren stepped into this case as soon as he was called by the policemen and started to draw his analysis.
"How were these two connected? They were both businessmen, alright, makes sense, some business issues, one killed the other for money, but they were friends according to the other men. But do friends cheat? Maybe, but this time maybe not, patterns of a dead body are same, the killer is a psychopath, a mad guy with no humanity left, the murders happened on 14th December, and 15th December, is this day special?" said JJ, "I don't remember much but I think a man took debt from them on the same day and this similar man took debt from all of us for a similar sum!" exclaimed Flavius, "Interesting, another pattern, he took debt from you all! what I think, if it's true, then you all are going to die soon! Watch Out!" shouted JJ. Flavius, Kevin, and Boris freaked out hearing this, "How did he look?" asked JJ, "We didn't see him, his butler visited us, that old man was a freak, never spoke a word, but we know the name of the one who took a loan from us, Gunther Fisk," said Boris.
"Fake name, that's not what he's called, would he ever tell you his actual name, and that Butler was not dumb, he was being manipulated by this Fisk or was helpless enough to have his commands or your criminal just a genius! let's wait for his next action," said JJ Warren with a spark of confidence in him.
"Wait for his actions! we don't want to die," said Flavius. "I will not let you die sir, but hide you from his reach, let's see if he does something," said JJ Warren and smirked at Flavius' frightened face and looked out of the window towards the chirping birds getting fed by their mother.
